Sharp has announced plans to launch a new controller for indoor LED ceiling lights.

The LR56001 LED controller allows users to adjust the brightness of their lights and change their lighting to three different colours - warm white, cool white and night light.

By adjusting the brightness of cool white and warm white lights, users will be able to change the hue of the light emitted from a warm red colour to a cool light blue colour.

The LR56001 LED controller comes complete with a built-in chopper circuit, which prevents power loss even when the forward voltage of the three types of LED differs.

A three-channel independent control also allows the brightness and colour adjustments to be made.

Sharp stressed that there is a growing demand for long-life energy-saving LED lighting and predicted that the use of these products is expected to grow for indoor lighting fixtures such as light bulbs and ceiling lights.
