January 11, 2011... The Larson Electronics's Magnalight LEDLB-E series line of LED light bars have proven a valuable addition to commercial fishing operations as operators discover the power, convenience, durability and efficiency of their advanced LED design. Producing 36,000 lumens of light with 200 integrated LEDs, the newest and largest of the line, the LEDLB-200X2E LED light pairs each LED with an individual optic to produce a 7,600 foot long, 540 foot wide beam pattern. Capable of being run on any voltage ranging from 9 to 42 volts DC, the entire LEDLB line of light bars require no special modifications, generators or power supplies for installation onboard commercial craft.
Kemp, Texas==The new 600 watt LEDLB-200X2E LED light from Magnalight represents the largest in an extreme duty line of advanced LED lights and is capable of producing 36,000 lumens of light under demanding conditions. Operating on voltages from 9 to 42 VDC without need for modifications, they offer excellent upgrade options for any commercial boat's lighting systems. The LEDLB extreme LED light series are designed for extreme conditions and can be taken from -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius quickly without problems. All LEDLB-E LED lights are IP68 rated, weatherproof, and sealed to prevent intrusion from water, sand or dust. The housings are constructed of extruded aluminum, mounts are machined aluminum, and stainless steel mounting hardware rounds out their resistance to the elements. Various mounting options are available with flat surface and tube mounts with rubber shock isolators included as standard mounting equipment. The LEDLB-200X2E LED light's smaller siblings, the LEDLB-80X2E, LEDLB-24E and LEDLB-160X2E, have proven extremely popular in the commercial fishing industry as they consistently prove their ability to withstand the most rugged environments and conditions. Magnalight also offers operators an even greater degree of lighting control with their dimmable and strobe capable LEDLB-24SD-C LED light. Available in white, red and infrared color options, operators can use an extra control wire to feed a 5Hz pulse to the LEDLB-24SD-C's LED package so the light flashes exactly 5 times per second.
Said Rob Bresnahan of Larson Electronics; “The LEDLB-80X2E, LEDLB-24E and LEDLB-160X2E extreme duty LED boat lights have proven invaluable to commercial fishermen. Being able to locate buoy tapes at over 1 mile away, the entire line of extreme LED lights are selling well just due to word of mouth. In areas like Maine, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, coastal Alaska and other hard core commercial lobster and crab fishing areas, the Magnalight LED light is replacing the high voltage high pressure sodium lights and metal halides. Since these high powered LED lights are waterproof and run off the standard battery and alternator systems, these lights reduce the headaches, noise and fuel issues associated with the onboard generators needed to power 1000 watt high pressure sodium and metal halide lights. Unlike metal halides which are mounted very high and throw light everywhere, operators mount these LED lights 4 to 10 feet above the wheelhouse to get a solid directed light. We have had reports just recently that operators can use a single LEDLB-24E flood LED light to replace 1500 watts of deck lights.“
