Hong Kong, Apr 02, 2012 (ACN Newswire via COMTEX) -- Three April fairs will showcase the latest products and marketing trends in Lighting, electronics, and information and communications technology, beginning later this week, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
Lighting the Way
The fourth edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) opens Friday (6 April) and continues through 9 April. This year's fair offers exhibitors more space and opportunities.
The four-day event is expected to attract more than 940 exhibitors from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, France, Germany, Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States and, for the first time, Vietnam.
Fair highlights include three new zones: the Hall of Aurora, showcasing quality brand products, the World of Crystal Chandeliers and the Hall of LED. Seminars on the latest trends in LED lighting technology and regulations and standards in lighting products, as well as forums on market opportunities in the Middle East and Russia, will also take place.
Electronics and ICT Innovations
The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) and International ICT Expo, 13-16 April, will welcome more than 3,150 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions to the HKCEC. Asia's largest spring electronics fair will feature exhibitor pavilions from the Chinese mainland, Korea and Taiwan, while Austria, Cyprus and South Africa will participate for the first time.
New Product Zones
The latest electronics products will be displayed in eight new product zones, including Eco-friendly Products, Mobile Devices and Accessories, and Smart Homes. The fair's Hall of Fame will return with nearly 500 leading brands, including AEG, Coby, Desay, Goodway, Haier, Motorola, Pierre Cardin, Rollei, Telefunken, Tunbow, and Westinghouse.
A series of seminars will spotlight trends in consumer electronics, including quality standards, safety regulations, testing and certification, and mobile device apps and electronics technology trends.
Small-Order Zone
The Electronics Fair will also unveil a new Small-Order Zone, offering thousands of products in a series of showcases at the Expo Drive Entrance. "Buying in small quantity allows me to better control inventory," said US fashion buyer Sam Niamian of High Secret. Emerging markets are also showing interest. "In view of the economic uncertainties in the coming season, I would rather buy in small quantities," said Joanna Sikorska, Senior Fashion Buyer at Poland's LPP SA. Buyers can also take advantage of the new zone, on www.hktdc.com/so .
Mobile Marketing
ICT Expo will present exhibitor pavilions from Australia, Canada, the mainland, India and Taiwan, and welcome new participants from Japan and Malaysia. Returning special zones include Cloud Computing and Open Source, Digital Living and Multimedia, E-Logistics and Retail Technologies, Enterprise Solutions and IT Outsourcing, Home-grown Innovations, Smartphones and Tablets and Telecom, Networking & Wireless Technologies.
Forums and seminars will look at such timely topics as ICT solutions, cloud and mobile applications opportunities, cloud computing trends on the mainland, and e-commerce.
