Today while shopping I noticed a 2D Mag-Lite with a 3W LED instead of an incandescent lamp. This is an OEM LED, not a retrofit. I bought it at Wal Mart for $33.28 (roughly double the price of a 2D Mag-Lite). I’ll update this post with pics shortly. but it has all the features of a Mag-Lite. The spare lamp in the tailcap is incandescent, though.

This has to be quite new becuase Mag’s web site still shows “coming soon” for the LED technology. I can’t tell who makes the LED unit, it’s a bulb-shaped housing with Mag-Lite embossed in the side.
