Epistar and Unity Opto Technology both confirmed that they have achieved robust operating performance benefited from strong market demand for display back
lights and
LED lightings in May.They stress that the contract orders have increased even more significantly than expected.
Epistar`s executives indicated that the company has received contract orders worth over NT$1.7 billion in May alone, more than it did in April, and has seen its production lines fully booked. With capacity lagging behind market demand, this maker will certainly keep running at a full capacity into June.
Meanwhile, Unity Opto`s chairman C.H. Wu also stated inspiringly that his company`s production lines have already been booked by customers to fill their orders in June and July, and will finish May with a higher revenue growth than 17% achieved in April, when its customers of LCD TVs in Taiwan and China heavily placed orders with the firm.
According to Wu, his company has landed orders worth more than NT$600 million in May alone, with some of which coming from customers of
LED lightings sold in Europe and the U.S., and some from clients of domestic 3C products.
