On June 4^th, Chancheng District of Foshan City officially rolled out “Implementation method of subsidy for LED indoor lighting demo district construction project in Guangdong Province”. According to this implementation method, Chancheng will input a maximum of 15 million yuan subsidy to promote LED indoor lighting before Dec 31, 2013.

Guangdong provincial government recently published “Implementation method to promote the use of LED lighting product in Guangdong”, which targets a complete LED public lighting conversion in Pearl River Delta Area by the end of 2013. Among the first batch of “Green lighting demo cities” in Guangdong, Chancheng launched Guangdong’s first “10 thousand households, 100 light unites” indoor green lighting demo engineering last year and was dedicated to energy saving and emission reduction.

This round of 15 million yuan subsidy for Chancheng is got via “2011 the second round of special subsidy (LED industry) for Guangdong strategic new industries”. This incentive will be distributed in compliance with the agreement with the provincial department of science and technology. Regarding to the specific items, it regulates that engineering that adopts A class (classified by “LED indoor lighting product evaluation benchmark system” ) LED indoor lighting fixture will be entitled to 5 yuan/W subsidy, and 3.5 yuan/W subsidy for B class, 3 yuan/ W for C class.
