Benefited from increased orders from Japanese and Korean manufacturers, Kenmos Technology, a leading player in R&D, manufacturing and marketing of back
lighting module based in Taiwan, delivered NT$418 million (US$14 million) of consolidated revenue for May, up 20.2% over last month.
Due to recent demand for back
light modules from a Japanese client for panels used in Amazon's 7-inch Kindle, Kenmos shipped about 200,000 units to the client in May and that number is expected to increase 3-4 times in June to 700,000-800,000 units with the possibility of shipments increasing even more in July, according to industry sources.
Kenmos will also most likely see increased orders from Korea for 32-inch TV LCM, which should bump up shipments for the company by another 50,000-60,000 units. The total may increase to 100,000-110,000 units by the fourth quarter this year, added the sources.
