A white LED patent cited in a lawsuit against Taiwan Kingbright has been ruled invalid in Germany.
 
The German Federal Patent Court and the European Patent Office ruled that the patent (number DE 297 24 543 & DE 297 24 848 and number EP 0 907 969) owned by Osram is invalid. The German Court revoked Osram’s lawsuit against Taiwan Kingbright. The German company finally cancelled the infringement charges.
