On June 26, at the commencement ceremony for Jiangsu Province’s a hundred primary technology evolution projects, Nanjing High Accurate Drive Equipment Manufacturing Group Co., Ltd. (NGC) invested 3 billion yuan to build Nanjing Jingjing Optoeletronic Technology Co.,Ltd devoted to high brightness LED production.

This project is said to adopt worldwide state-of-the-art technique and will deliver annual capacity of 200,000 2-inch, 4.6 million 4-inch and 400,000 6-inch sapphire substrates. When it reaches designed capacity, it can generate sales of 3.2 billion yuan and tax of 500 million yuan annually.

The implementation of this project will also improve China’s supply capability of LED upstream components and relieve demand stress, therefore, domestic LED industry’s strength and quality will be further enhanced.
 
In addition, in Nanjing Economic and Technology Development Zone,NGC will also invest 200 million yuan to set Nanjing Jingsheng Energy Equipment Co.,Ltd devoted to R&D, manufacturing and sales of crystal growth furnace for sapphire and crystalline silicon; 300 million yuan to set Nanjing Jingrui Semiconductor Co.,Ltd as LED epitaxy and chip headquarter, specializing in R&D and pilot experiment of advanced technology for LED epitaxy and chip. A rough calculation indicates that NGC will input a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan in LED industry chain at Nanjing Economic and Technology Development Zone.
