Sources have released that Lite-On Group becomes Philips’ contract supplier of
LED lighting. Under Philips’ contract, Lite-On will supply
LED packages and modules, Epistar will provide
chips and some mainland Chinese manufacturers will supply
light fittings.

According to Lite-On executives, the company’s revenue for the second quarter would surge to double that of the same quarter last year largely thanks to brisk demands from contact buyers and smooth output at the company since beginning of the quarter.

Epistar’s production has been running at full capacity so far this month and will grow busier in July than June mostly thanks to swarming orders from mainland China’s
lighting manufacturers pointed out by its executives.
