On July 30, HC SemiTek Co.,Ltd published its financial report for the first half of 2012. According to the report, during the reporting period, HC SemiTek Co.,Ltd achieved a total operating revenue of 187.72 million yuan, down 17.97% year-over-year, with total profit and net profit for shareholders coming to 43.64 million and 37.09 million yuan, declining 39.25% and 39.40% respectively.

HC SemiTek Co.,Ltd. attributes the declining profit to greater-than-expected slipping in unit price of chips which was caused by heated market competition and to the dropping of sales revenue and gross margin amid yet-to-be released production capacity, although sales volume of chips exceeded inventory and that of the same period last year.
