On August 2^nd, Jufei Optoelectronic Co., Ltd announced financial report for the first half of 2012. According to the report, the company achieved total operating revenue of about 209 million yuan, a growth of 27.28% year-over-year, with total profit and net profit for shareholders coming to 52.98 million and 45.65 million yuan, up 14.89% and 10.91% respectively compared with the same period last year.

The report also shows that Jufei Optoelectronic Co., Ltd has seen a year-over-year growth of 27.18% in sales revenue, of which backlighting LED components has kept 17.36% growth and lighting LED components represents a substantial growth of 180.54%. Other LED components have limited size and declined slightly relative to the previous year.
 
Jufei says that its ultra-brightness series products account for up to 40% of total sales revenue. Some of middle-size backlighting products have been used in LCD display backlighting. Large-size LCD TV backlighting LED components have been verified by TV manufacturers like Hisense, Skyworth, Changhong and others and have realized small batch supply. It is projected that large-size backlighting LED will experience continuous increase in sales volume in the future.
 
During the reporting period, Jufei’s lighting LED component sales has grown faster than other business, with 6.76% share for the same period last year growing to 14.91%. However, the gross margin of lighting products stands on low level ,pulling down the comprehensive gross margin.

Looking into the future, while consolidating and improving its market presence in terms of middle-and-small-size backlighting LED components, Jufei will be determined to expanding the production of large-size backlighting LED components and lighting LED components.
