Around 6 o’clock in the evening of Oct. 16, the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS system) in Zhunan plant of Epistar smoked, affecting the operation of production lines for a while and triggering the automatic sprinkler system. The plant evacuated workers and staff immediately. Later, around 9 o’clock, after the smoking problem solved, the workers returned to their posts and the production lines went on operation.
 
According to Epistar, the smoking occurred in the equipment room which is apart from the production lines. Therefore, the incident didn’t affect the production equipments and the operation of the company.
