On October 17, Foshan Lighting hold the second ad hoc shareholder's meeting this year, where 'the proposal over disposing of Foshan Gao mingfu bay Leisure Resort by public auction' was reviewed and overwhelmingly approved. It said the primary aim of the disposal was to develop core business wholeheartedly, stem the persistent loss of hotel operation, and avoid compromising shareholders' interests.

According to asset evaluation, the hotel operated at a loss in 2011. Foshan Lighting noted it lacked professional hotel management caliber and was currently in transition to advanced industry. Consequently, the entire hotel assets was shed.

Separately, Foshan Lighting has announced to win the bid for LED Lamps on 2012 Solid-State Lighting Product Subsidy. And the quota of subsidized products totaled 400, 000 units, including LED downlight (4 inches / 12 W) and LED spotlight (PAR30/8 W, PAR 38/12 W). Foshan Lighting would grasp market opportunities to boost its comprehensive competitive edge and further consolidate its leading position by virtue of brand and distribution channel advantages, its senior official said.
