Premium high-power LED maker Refond Optoelectronics based in China released its result report for 2012 on Feb 21. In the reporting period, total revenue was RMB 500.0842m, a growth of 71.36% year-over-year; operating profit reached RMB 53.5567m, an increase of 52.81% compared with the previous year; total profit was RMB 55.1586m, growing 44.85% year-over-year; and net profit was RMB 46.8962m, up 41.48%.

Amid overall downturn of LED market in 2012, Refond Optoelectronics seized the opportunity of fast penetration of LED LCD TVs into the market and hit the market with cutting-edge, reliable products, thus having gained substantial growth in sales and profits, which has contributed to its superiority in the field of LED TV backlighting.
