Delta Electronics’ Ring of Celestial Bliss, a 10m tall, 70m wide and 270° circular, high-resolution structure became the most eye-catching lantern display at the official opening of the 2013 Taiwan Lantern Festival. Visitors can enjoy two films: “Sun and Moon”” and “Four Seasons” in the giant lantern which encourages the public to protect our environment, save energy, and pursue sustainability for the benefit of mankind.
Featuring an exciting LED light show, the giant display is a visual treat for visitors to the festival. In attendance at the grand opening ceremony were Mr. Chiu Ching Chun, the Hsinchu County Magistrate, Mr. Bruce Cheng, Founder and Honorary Chairman of Delta Electronics, Ms. Diane Ying, Founder and Chairman of Commonwealth Magazine and Mr. Dong Yang Zi, the renowned calligrapher.
Delta’s Founder and Honorary Chairman Mr. Bruce Cheng said, “The Lantern Festival is an important Chinese tradition. If we can celebrate it in a low carbon and energy-saving way, it will be a wonderful thing. Our lantern, “Delta’s Ring of Celestial Bliss” conveys the concept of “Everlasting”. It is the first time we have presented Delta’s company values and mission by combining technology, culture and the message of sustainability. “Delta Electronics’ Ring of Celestial Bliss” provides both family entertainment as well as environmental education.”
Mr. Chiu Ching Chun, Hsinchu County Magistrate emphasized, “Delta Electronics is truly a leading light of Taiwan. This year is the first time we have broken away from conventional Taiwan Lantern Festival themes and incorporated such extensive multimedia using Delta’s world-renowned, advanced technologies. A seamless integration of the humanities and technology, it has added a new luster to the 2013 Taiwan Lantern Festival.”
