China’s LED light source component and lighting appliance manufacturer Mason Technology announced that the company has achieved net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 38.4856mn in 2012, down by 28.82% from a year earlier, and the EPS was RMB 0.46.

According to the announcement, challenged by the sluggish economy at home and abroad alongside the intensive market competition in LED industry, the company received less-than-expected amount of order and saw gross profit decline in product sales. Meanwhile, the company has increased investments in sales team, advertisements, etc. to develop the business and enlarge the market shares. In 2012, the company has achieved total revenue of RMB 389mn, a slight increase year on year.
