China’s LED chip supplier Wuhan HC SemiTek Co., Ltd. has recently published its financial report for 2012. In the reporting period, operating revenue reached RMB 330m, a drop of 30.38% compared with the same period last year and net profit was RMB 87.34m, down by 29.93% year-over-year, with a 40.96% decline in basic EPS at RMB 0.49.

HC SemiTek Co., Ltd believes the main reason for its undesirable business performance in 2012 is that despite better chip sales than the previous year, LED chip unit price suffered greater-than-expected decline, therefore, operating revenue, operating profit, total profit and net profit are all at lower levels than the year 2011.
